Wow time flies!
Oh my, has it been over a week already? Terrible! I don't want to make excuses, but I really have been phenomenally busy recently. Business is picking up < yay! > and I was away on the weekend for a seminar by Russell Scott on finding your true purpose in life. The good news is I'm on the right track! My photography is one of the things that showed up as one of my options during the weekend - which understandably makes me feel quite exuberant! It is Tuesday night, and I am *finally* getting around to participating in the Inking Pink Blog Hop < see badge to the right > and I recommend everyone to go check it out! Happy crafting! 8)

Fishies and dandelion clocks
No, they're not related, nor should they be, but two noteworthy additions, I now have some fishy friends on the page here ... and one of the neat things I saw at WOTS were the Tshirts at one booth, Tempus International ... It looked like dandelion clocks < like up in the right corner there > but the really neat thing was that all the 'seeds' were the T from their name with a globe on top, so it was worlds around worlds kind of making a world! < wow, worlds is a weird word to warp werbally ;> say it a few times in a row... weird 8) > Anyway, back to work! Go Venture is tomorrow night and I want to have some new magnets.
Word on the Street - AWESOME!
Well, I had the best day yesterday! My friends and I < bibliophiles, all > were at Queen's Park for Word on the Street - a huge book and magazine festival. We all had a truly fantastic day! Way too much walking, but it was well worth all today's pain. I got to meet and listen to my favourite author < Robert J. Sawyer, Hominids, Flashforward, Wake .. et al. > and I had the pleasure of seeing my best friend being so much herself that she didn't seem like herself anymore and EARN the Book of Awesome! < see www.1000awesomethings.com > by volunteering to go first on a game the author was doing! *Go Paula!*
Yes, I missed out on the crab legs at the Mandarin *sob!*, but I had the pleasure of being mocked by friends at Montana's on Steeles Ave. < ...glad I made your night, server Rebecca! > So, notwithstanding the new nickname < which, I must say, is NOT appropriate, since the chicken was NOT naked, but smothered in cheese and sour cream > my day was totally awesome! I was doing a scavenger hunt, and since I apparently put in a lot of effort for it, they gave me the option of a prize! I chose the Tshirt with a moose climbing up books instead of a bag or a book. This way I get to tell people all about WOTS when I'm wearing it and they comment on it!
To top it all off, I ended up bringing my sister and niece back home to Barrie, since her car had broken down the night before, and staying the night to give her a ride in to work this morning. Now, off to do some cross stitching, stamp-carving and magnet assembly!
Happy crafting!

Return to SCA!
Last night I went to an SCA meeting - after an 11-year absence. For those of you who don't know, the SCA < Society for Creative Anachronism > is a medieval re-creation society. I first joined it when I was at the University of Guelph, and had a blast! I did archery, tried fencing, but mainly concentrated on the Arts. Stitchery, garb creation, medieval dancing - it was all so much fun! Last night they were working on silk banner making, and since I missed the first meetings of that, I worked on my cross-stitching... which I haven't touched in about 10 years. I am so pleased with my progress! I may not be able to go to every meeting < Tuesdays from 6-8:30 > but I will keep working on my poor Unicorn stitching that has waited so patiently for me to finish it. I'll let you know when it's done!

Switching to blogger...
Welcome! This is my first post in my new blog!
I have only recently started a blog, and unfortunately I had chosen one that will be shutting down in a few weeks, so I get to start fresh!
This will be where I put all my crafty musings, ideas, creations and works in progress.
I have been having some ... *ahem* issues with getting online and maintaining a connection, so sometimes it is a bit difficult to DO anything, but I feel it will be worth the effort! Wish me luck, and please, come back and visit!
